Dear Valued Customer,

We would like to inform you about updated container weight regulations introduced at Ningbo Port, effective immediately. These regulations apply to both import and export containers. Containers exceeding a total gross weight of 32.5T (cargo weight plus container tare weight) will incur a heavy weight surcharge, which will be recovered in Ningbo.

The surcharge rates are as follows:

Origin or Destination Ningbo: USD 100/20’ and USD 150/40’

Cargo Transhipping at Ningbo: USD 200/20’ and USD 300/40’

To avoid these charges, we strongly recommend reviewing the weights of your shipments to ensure that gross container weights do not exceed 32.5T, especially for cargo originating in, destined for, or transhipping via Ningbo.
