Updated Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF/LSR) and Emergency Fuel Adjustment Factor (EFAF) for September & October 2026
Dear Valued Customer,
We wish to advise our updated BAF/LSR and EFAF on PFL and Partner Operated Services, applicable for September and October 2026:
For Australia, New Zealand, and South Pacific to American Samoa (Pago Pago), the BAF will be effective from 1 October 2026.
For Australia, New Zealand, and South Pacific to the Cook Islands, a BAF of 26.3% and a Currency Adjustment Factor (CAF) of 19.4% is applicable on Base Ocean Freight.
BAF for NZ/AU to PNG (for duration of Q3) has been communicated separately.
EFAF will be monitored and updated as per notice from our partner service operators.

Sinotrans Container Lines Trade Notice - Updated Regulations on Container Weight at CNNGB Port

Dear Valued Customer,
We would like to inform you about updated container weight regulations introduced at Ningbo Port, effective immediately. These regulations apply to both import and export containers. Containers exceeding a total gross weight of 32.5T (cargo weight plus container tare weight) will incur a heavy weight surcharge, which will be recovered in Ningbo.
The surcharge rates are as follows:
Origin or Destination Ningbo: USD 100/20’ and USD 150/40’
Cargo Transhipping at Ningbo: USD 200/20’ and USD 300/40’
To avoid these charges, we strongly recommend reviewing the weights of your shipments to ensure that gross container weights do not exceed 32.5T, especially for cargo originating in, destined for, or transhipping via Ningbo.
